Self Guided Walking Tour Through Maumee's Landmarks

Get your walking shoes on for this self-guided walking tour through "Maumee's Landmarks" written by Tedd Long of Holy Toledo History! Picturesque Maumee is a vibrant river town that’s been shaped by a rich history, where every corner has a tale waiting to be shared. On this walking tour, you’ll hear the stories behind historic homes and buildings that have withstood the test of time, each a silent witness to the evolution of the city. The tour starts on East Wayne Street in front of the charming Federal Inn. From there, you’ll make your way down to the mighty Maumee River and hear about the area’s early history. You’ll weave through the heart of Maumee, with its captivating blend of old-world charm and modern vibrancy, and I’ll point out architectural features that reflect the styles of yesteryear. I’ll also share some intriguing stories about the families who called these historic residences home. The tour ends back at the Federal Inn.
